Savour is a cooking school based in Wellington, New Zealand. We teach you the skills to take your food to the next level. We have regular classes in Italian, French, and Persian cooking, in addition to one-off classes with special guests or workshops focusing on techniques like fermentation, sourdough and wild food.

Savour began as a Wellington-based meetup group and has since progressed into a fully-fledged cooking school led by professionally trained chef, Wendy Joyce. At University, and before training as a chef, Joyce gained a PhD in French Literature and Art History. Through Savour, she now combines her studies and love of food via cooking classes based around Impressionists like Monet and Renoir, along with taking groups to France each year on a food, wine and art tour.

Regardless of whether you’re just looking to sharpen your skills in a particular cuisine or you want to learn about the interesting relationship between art and food, we would love to welcome you into our kitchen.
